Fireworks Displays Around the Twin Cities in 2022

Looking for fireworks to watch to celebrate Independence Day? Here are some options for fireworks displays around the Twin Cities metro over the weekend and on the Fourth of July holiday to check out. Bloomington

What: Summer Fete
When: 
Sunday, July 3, 5-10:30 p.m.
Where: 
Normandale Lake Park, W. 84th St. and Normandale Boulevard., Bloomington

One of the largest fireworks displays in Minnesota, Bloomington’s celebration for Independence Day takes place annually on July 3. Food, entertainment, and free parking will be available.

Edina

What: Fireworks and Concert
When: 
Sunday, July 3, parade on Monday, July 4
Where:
 4300 W. 66th St., Edina

The First John Philip Sousa Memorial Band will play in concert followed by fireworks on Sunday evening. The parade starts at 10 a.m. on July 4.

Eagan

What: July 4th Funfest
When: Sunday, July 3, 10 p.m.
Where: Eagan Central Park, 1507 Central Parkway, Eagan

While Eagan’s Funfest over the holiday weekend will have other festivities, including live music performances, a carnival, and a bike parade, the fireworks display will cap the evening’s festivities after a lacrosse game.

Eden Prairie

What: Hometown Celebration
When: Monday, July 4, 3 p.m.-10 p.m.
Where: Round Lake Park, 16691 Valley View Road, Eden Prairie

The beach at Round Lake Park will be open during the morning, and starting in the afternoon, the community plaza and food truck plaza will open. Live music and the firework display will follow to continue the community celebration.

Excelsior

What: Lake Minnetonka 4th of July
When: Monday, July 4, times vary
Where: South Lake Minnetonka, Excelsior

The only public fireworks display on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, this community celebration will host the holiday experiences that begins with the Firecracker Run and continues well past dark with the fireworks show.

Maplewood

What: Light it Up Maplewood
When: Monday, July 4, 4 p.m.-10 p.m.
Where: Hazelwood Park, 1663 County Road C, Maplewood

Traditional family favorites including food trucks, games and activities, inflatables, live music by Good and Gary, accompany the fireworks show.

St. Louis Park

What: Fireworks Celebration
When: Monday, July 4, 7-10 p.m.
Where: Aquila Park, 3110 Xylon Ave. S., St. Louis Park

With food trucks, vendors, and live music accompanying a display of fireworks, this annual fireworks tradition continues this year. 

Shakopee

What: Valleyfair Fireworks
When: Monday, July 4, after dusk
Where: 1 Valley Fair Drive, Shakopee

Watch the fireworks display at the Valleyfair grounds after dark, perhaps from the top of the Power Tower. Spend the day in Shakopee at the Soak City Waterpark, and gear up for the fireworks later in the night.

White Bear Lake

What: Manitou Days
When: Monday, July 4, 10 p.m.
Where: Memorial Beach, 4980 Lake Ave. N., White Bear Lake

Complete with a flyover earlier in the evening, the fireworks display in White Bear Lake promises to delight. Come early to enjoy live music by the Shoreview Northern Lights Band.

Woodbury

What: Hometown Celebration
When: Monday, July 4, 10 p.m.
Where: M Health Fairview Sports Center, 4125 Radio Drive, Woodbury

The festivities begin earlier in the evening with an outdoor playground, food trucks, live music, and a bounce house. Visitors for the fireworks are encouraged to bring their own seating.
